and, as though this were a situation we can deal with, we have to read on social media profiles of people, young and educated, alas, the information they choose to disclose about themselves, in a cool and OK manner too, throwing it at any reader, total strangers in their majority no less, to manage to do WHAT exactly? WHO CARES? WHAT EGO TRIP are they on and how on earth can they think that anyone cares??!! hellooooo, the planet is sinking, ever heard of that??

what are people(s) in europe (and, of course, the rest of the world) complaining about? don't we have enough democracy all of a sudden? aren't we, all of a sudden, free enough?

this is the era of free access to information; one should take a look at the sources, and, thank God, there are several free voices across the globe that can --still-- speak; and be heard;

developments in the european continent are important and happen fast; some say, not fast enough; not a long time ago we heard official references to the southern countries, and ireland, as PIIGS!!!!... seriously??!... it is a long established fact and an everyday reality to every living person on this planet that the one omnipotent word [and, obviously, activity] is economy; again: not too long ago, people were talking about the european union as a union of the people(s); as it turns out it is more like a union of the markets; oh, and btw, what does the euphemism 'markets' mean? answer: it means the banking system, basically; it means those specific people who pull the strings and get to decide on the kind of present and future that each country, people, human being is going to have; right now, as we speak, there are different intentions and velocities at which the components of the continent are moving ---

but i digress... ----greece: in 2009 there was a change of governments; the conservative (right wing) party had to go; literally; we are now told that its leader was 'ordered' [by ...???] to step down; they gave the power to the so called socialist party; via elections, certainly... only: the socialist leader was promising at the time that there would be no crisis any longer, due to the fact that "...there IS money"; that turned out to be the biggest lie; a conscious deliberate one; it was later proven that the man had already been negotiating with notorious international fora before being elected, after that the party in question kept undermining the country's financial position via insulting statements (which have a direct negative effect on the 'markets'), actions and omissions, left the boat helpless amidst various international winds for months, and then, one morning, announced that "we are getting 'help' from the imf"; all that time, and up to this very moment, individuals from within the local and international banking system have kept high places inside the government and operating in mysterious ways; the government (actually: the two major parties that have been forming governments for the last decades) is supposedly seeking rescue, but in fact working with the very people who either participated in the disaster or are just taking care of their own interests, which is the 'natural' thing to do: money...

to cut a long story short, anyone who is misinformed will gladly think and/or talk about the greek people in the worst of words; that is what propaganda does; they will attack their productivity, their honesty, their ethos; the truth is that the greek people, the citizens, are to blame for one thing and one thing alone: they trusted their leaders; they trusted their politicians who are the only ones responsible --along with a few others, NOT unknown any more-- for what is going on now;

and what is going on now? ---from 2009 to this very moment a zillion of measures has been taken behind the people's back; the greek people, the sovereign voting citizens, apart from being manipulated, deceived and now exploited, were never asked to give their opinion about anything; not once; they just had to sit back and watch their politicians act against their will; two things: a) were there other alternatives in the first place? -- independent economists keep proving that there were and still are, different ways to build the economy without falling into the nightmare; b) did the people actually show that they are against all this? -- YES, repeatedly; from the month of may onwards, the country has been boiling: peaceful protests and gatherings outside the parliament, public figures with their speeches, music and dance and happenings in all cities: the state answered with fierce attacks of the riot police often acting as common criminals DELIBERATELY, multiple incidents of extreme violence took place, officials remained in their places and everything went on as before...

THERE IS NO DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTION CAPABLE OF HELPING AND PROTECTING THE GREEK PEOPLE AGAINST THEIR HOSTILE REGIME !!!



THE NIGHTMARE. THE PRESENT

A) in november a parliamentary coalition was formed and took over, with a representative of the banking system playing the role of the prime minister [interestingly enough, something similar has just happened in italy... wow...] : NOT VIA ELECTIONS, NOT VOTED FOR, THUS NOT LEGITIMATE; they will carry out the pending program THAT LITERALLY KILLS THE CITIZENS whereas there is only a vague whisper about elections at some future point; was that what the people demanded?  N O !  --and who gives the orders, again? check your sources, people...

B) justice sleeps or works side by side with the regime and against the people in a number of ways: the treaties that were signed, the measures taken and the overall political decisions not only were never approved by the people thus lack all legitimacy, they are also directly against the constitution and the articles that rule procedures like that; at the same time, both the political and the judicial system fail to shed light on the corruption, which has been playing its own part since day one (as in ALL countries of the world), and send even ONE politician to prison for their actions; another keyword: Argentina, 2000-2001...

BTW: corruption exists in ALL countries of this planet; he in whose country there is no corruption cast the first stone...
C) the suicide rate has gone up because of the situation; how can something like that even go unnoticed???!!! and yet, on top of that, the 'government' has now decided to cut off the electrical power for all those who are no more capable of paying their taxes (one tax, in particular) ; just days ago the european officials in charge of those matters [nothing to do with any 'officials' who take active part in destroying the country] stated, after being notified by a greek left wing official (not by the government of course), that, on top of everything else, such measures are AGAINST the european community law and as such they are UNACCEPTABLE --- so what? the greek government, a coalition now, formed by the right wing-the socialist party-and the extreme right wing, doesn't give a &*^&; they go on as planned;

THE GREEK POLITICIANS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE LEFT WING, SPREAD THE TERROR AND BLACKMAIL THEIR OWN CITIZENS:  M A D N E S S !!!

THE VERY ONES WHO SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING THE NATION OVER FOUR DECADES TO THIS MESS, ARE STILL IN THEIR ARMCHAIRS AND ACT AS SAVIOURS:  M A D N E S S !!!

(it is interesting to bear in mind that a long time prominent member of the socialist government and also current minister of finance is a former professor of constitutional law... i rest my case...)

greece is dying. so is democracy. so is, perhaps, europe.

unbelievable, huh? the mind can't cope with the information... who would have imagined the face of europe in the 21st c. no less, like... this??...

and one last(?) question: who are the ones, countries? or organizations? or individuals?..., who demand that a country, a whole nation, SELL all its assets, at a 'good' price too, and turn its citizens into slaves with no sovereignty and no independence?... one more topic for further investigation...

and here's one more 'last' question: what is 'debt' really? where does it come from? how is it that soooo many countries owe those COLOSSAL sums of money? and whom do they owe them to??!! :O :O :O also: was greece the country with the biggest debt or the biggest deficit around???... more food for thought...

anyone reading this may take it as an appeal, or as a purely subjective text, as fiction, as whatever... however, it is based on undeniable facts and the question remains: greece aside, where exactly is europe headed? where is the planet headed, for that fact? who makes the rules and who is supposedly 'more equal' so as to decide on other people's future? whereas britain consistently refuses to be a part of the european 'dream', a few more european countries are either knocking or thinking about knocking on the imf's door... did the new currency, the euro, bring happiness ( = read: prosperity)? was it ever even meant to do that?

this is the greek, actually global, tragedy; ignoring facts is not bliss; accurate information is; and lack of bias; of course, the real tragedy is that even with that knowledge, an extra step needs to be taken.

πώς μπορεί να φτάσει μία τεχνητή γλώσσα τις μάζες; είναι κάν δυνατόν αυτό να συμβεί; είναι ευκταίο;

η ιδέα της παγκόσμιας κοινής ΔΕΥΤΕΡΗΣ γλώσσας είναι η ιδέα της παγκόσμιας κοινής δεύτερης ΑΝΕΞΑΡΤΗΤΗΣ γλώσσας΄ εκείνης που δέν ανήκει/προσιδιάζει/εκπορεύεται από ένα έθνος/λαό΄ η πιό διαδεδομένη και καλλιεργημένη [με εκδόσεις, μεταφράσεις, μουσική, ζώσα κοινότητα κλπ.] τεχνητή γλώσσα που βαδίζει αυτό τον δρόμο, είναι η εσπεράντο΄ κανείς δέν γνωρίζει ακριβώς την τρέχουσα έκταση και διάδοσή της, υπολογίζεται πάντως σε μερικές δεκάδες χιλιάδες έως εκατοντάδες χιλιάδες ομιλητές ανά τον κόσμο΄ πολύ μικρότεροι είναι οι αριθμοί για τις υπόλοιπες όμοιες γλώσσες [και υπάρχουν ήδη αρκετές: ido, interlingua, lojban, toki pona, volapük, sambahsa, pandunia, lingwa de planeta κλπ.], πράγμα που ενισχύει τον αρχικό προβληματισμό:

ποιά θα είναι η γλώσσα αυτή, από ποιά συστατικά θα αποτελείται --ώστε να είναι και εκ της φύσης της (όσο το δυνατόν) παγκόσμια--, ποιός θα την διδάξει και πώς΄ αυτά είναι τα τεχνικά ζητήματα΄ και παραπέρα, δεδομένων των τρεχουσών συνθηκών σε πολιτική, παιδεία, παγκόσμιες διακρατικές σχέσεις, και στην ίδια την ατομική διάθεση και προαίρεση ενός εκάστου των παγκόσμιων πολιτών, φαντάζει κυριολεκτικά αδύνατον και ουτοπικόν να σκεφτεί κανείς ότι θα μπορέσει να πραγματοποιηθεί καθόλου ένα τέτοιο εγχείρημα... μα ακόμα και να συνέβαινε, θα μπορούσε αυτό εν τοις πράγμασι να εγγυηθεί ή έστω να βοηθήσει την ουσιαστική προσέγγιση των λαών;

των πραγμάτων ούτως εχόντων, είναι αφενός μεν αξιοθαύμαστο και αξιοσέβαστο το έργο των δημιουργών γλωσσών προς αυτή την κατεύθυνση, και επίσης σεβαστή και συγκινητική η εκμάθηση αυτών από τους --όσους είναι-- ενθουσιώδεις πιστούς ανά τον κόσμο, μα φαίνεται προς ώρας ότι η κατάσταση θα μείνει εκεί΄ εάν δέν συμβεί κάτι τεράστιο και ανατρεπτικό, η Ουτοπία θα παραμείνει στην θέση της΄ και εμείς απλώς θα εξακολουθούμε να γράφουμε και να μιλάμε --ίσως ίσως σε κάποια τεχνητή γλώσσα-- γι' αυτή.

υπενθυμίζω πως όχι μόνο δέν έχω τέτοιες επαφές στην αληθή ζωή εδώ, μα και πως ο ίδιος δέν έχω προσωπικές επιδόσεις στο σπορ΄ (καίτοι διαρκώς μετατρέπω/μετασχηματίζω/αλλοιώνω/ξαναπλάθω την μητρική γλώσσα διαρκώς και καθημερινά, αυτό δέν μετράει) έτσι λοιπόν, κοιτάζω με εκ προοιμίου θαυμασμό όσους ασχολούνται, και κοπιαστικά μάλιστα, με τέτοιες δημιουργίες, σημειωτέον δε ότι πλείστες φορές οι ηλικίες είναι πολύ πολύ μικρές (γύρω στα είκοσι)΄ πλείστες επίσης φορές, αν και όχι εκατό τοις εκατό, οι εν λόγω άνθρωποι έχουν γλωσσολογικό υπόβαθρο στις σπουδές΄ αυτό τους κάνει πιό εξοπλισμένους γνώστες σε σχέση με άλλους, και δείχνει επιπλέον την τρέλα που --πρέπει να-- κουβαλάει κάποιος για να κάθεται εξαντλητικές ώρες, και μοναχικές, να σκαρώνει γλωσσικές δημιουργίες που, συνηθέστατα [και οι ίδιοι το συνειδητοποιούν φυσικά] δέν θα πάνε πιό μακριά από το κατώφλι τους --

η τρέλα εδώ είναι καλώς εννοούμενη΄ το ίδιο και η φιλοδοξία΄ διότι υπάρχουν και περιπτώσεις, και εδώ θα ήθελα να επικεντρωθώ, που οι δημιουργοί αναλαμβάνουν την πρωτοβουλία τους πολύ στα σοβαρά, και μπράβο!, με βλέψεις να γνωστοποιήσουν την γλώσσα τους δημόσια, προτείνοντάς την δε σαν βιώσιμη εναλλακτική στο γενικό περιρρέον [για όποιους ενδιαφέρονται ή/και ασχολούνται] θέμα [ή πρόβλημα;] της 'παγκόσμιας κοινής ΑΝΕΞΑΡΤΗΤΗΣ --δεύτερης-- ΓΛΩΣΣΑΣ για όλους' ---

αυτό είναι το θέμα ακριβώς΄ αυτό μας φέρνει στην κύρια συζήτηση, που είναι ακριβώς η πραγματική ή υποτιθέμενη ανάγκη της παρουσίας και χρήσης μιας ήδη υπάρχουσας ή τώρα ad hoc δημιουργηθησομένης λίνγκουα φράνκα, που να μήν αντιστοιχεί σε κανένα υπάρχον εθνικό κράτος, ικανής να φέρει τους λαούς, όλους τους λαούς λένε οι πλέον αισιόδοξοι, πιό κοντά, με θετικές συνέπειες στο διεθνές πολιτικό κλίμα και την γενικότερη κοινωνική ανανέωση του ανθρωπισμού (σε αντίθεση πλήρη, δηλαδή, με τα νυν ισχύοντα)΄

αυτό όμως πρέπει να κουβεντιαστεί πιό αναλυτικά παρακάτω΄

(EO) mi ofte scivolas cxu eblas la komunikado inter homoj el tro malproksimaj landoj (ekz. unu el Euxropo kaj unu el Ameriko), cxar ili ne konas la samajn aferojn nek havas la saman vivon, kvankam povas sxajni ke ili faras/faris samajxojn (filmojn, muzikon, komputilon ktp.) ---tamen, la mentaleco estas kaj estOs malsimila: tio signifas ke tiuj du uloj devas peni por kompreni unu la alian, kaj tio estas io kion la homoj, gxenerale, ne sxatas fari.

(ES) a menudo me pregunto si es posible la comunicación entre personas de países muy lejanos (por ejemplo una de Europa y una de América), ya que no saben las mismas cosas ni tienen vidas semejantes, aunque puede parecer que hacen/han hecho cosas similares (películas, música, ordenador etc.) --empero, la mentalidad es y será diferente: esto significa que esas dos personas tienen que esforzarse por entenderse, y esto es algo que la gente, en general, no quiere hacer.

(EN) i often wonder if communication is at all possible between two people from very distant countries (one from Europe and one from America, for example), given that they do not know the same things nor have similar lives, although it may seem that they do/have done similar things (films, music, computer etc.) --however, their mentalities are and will be different: this means that those two people will have to make an effort to understand each other, and this is something that people in general don't like to do.

the title implies that i had a different post in mind, namely one about conlangs, based on my experience/interaction with people who devote their energy to those creations, plus my own personal thoughts, but instead we're face to face with a new priority, which combines the intellectual activities of conlangers and the 'real world', the usual mortal three or four dimensions we all know --

a ConWorld, then? a new Creation that has been in many people's heads -pioneers' or not- or talked about in everyday conversations, dreamt about in individual visions and expectations, mentioned in boring or exciting political analyses, referred to in ancient traditions even... a World that can replace the present nightmare, a Conscience that can spread far beyond the critical mass, if it hasn't already, a Reality with no monsters, literal or metaphorical (which might be the only difference from the conlangers' version, haha), a Reality that will not use the word 'real' as a pejorative...

is that feasible? do dreams have a chance? do Dreams?

we might get sooome information tomorrow: there is a literal tomorrow (15.10 or 10/15) and a metaphorical one; the generations that are now occupying the planet [pun intended] must?/should?/are about to? generate something, it seems --

internet y democracia

a menudo pienso que en todas esas redes sociales, que para muchísima gente sustituyen la Vida (real y social), hay un aspecto, entre otros, que funciona como obstáculo en la comunicación: los números --

es decir, ¿cómo se acercan mutuamente una persona que tiene 50 o 100 contactos y una persona que tiene 1750 contactos? suponiendo que no se conocen sino solamente a través del cibermundo, está claro que no tienen las mismas posibilidades ni las mismas oportunidades: la información que recibe el primero llega frecuentemente y destaca, ergo éste puede fácilmente regalar sus comentarios y demás cosas del juego, mientras que el segundo, el rey de la red, no puede, por ser humano y porque tales números lo superan, manejar el enorme flujo, por consiguiente la comunicación entre esos dos 'amigos' nunca será recíproca; será unilateral, lo cual es el inicio de problemas y malentendidos --

¿es cierto que personas con miles de amigos ni siquiera miran sus mensajes ya que, según leyes de la estadística, en un día cualquiera pueden recibir unos centenares? ¿qué nos dice eso de la comunicación? ¿qué nos dice de la Comunicación?

(lo mismo ocurre en páginas de personas 'famosas' o de organizaciones etc.: ¿acaso hay significado cuando un post allí recibe inmediatamente 2025 comentarios por ejemplo? según este blog el significado es simple y claramente nulo, y esa realidad que lo genera y lo mantiene, una broma de muy mal gusto)

OK, let's try EN one more time --this blog has made an observation from a SocPsy perspective: it is certainly not an official research, it is not based on official statistics, it is just an observation, thorough but personal (and collective, in a sense) --

it is IMpossible to maintain a decent -intellectual- relationship through internet alone: it is unreliable; the medium per se is no substitute for a real life relationship, no matter how good intentions are, how educated or evolved the parties involved are --

our observation clearly shows that people who don't really know each other -well, that applies to any two people, actually; the meaning is 'people who have never met in real life, who have no real life contact whatsoever'- canNOT have a mutually rewarding exchange through emails, messages, posts etc.: overtime a substantial deficit will prevail, it's inevitable; the result will be one casualty, or two, depending on each individual's sensitivity; and then, that little history will most probably repeat itself: again, most probably for both participants...

siempre me he preguntado si las personas que vemos -muy a menudo- que hacen posts (tuits etc.) un mogollón de veces al día, pues si tienen vida... así de sencillo...

mi ofte scivolemas pri tio, cxu la personoj kiuj faras multegegegajn afisxajxojn cxiutage havas vivon... tiel simpla estas la demando...

y ¿cómo es posible que las personas puedan, al fin y al cabo, encontrarse con calidad?

las redes sociales... más allá de la(s) discusion(es) acerca de la comunicación y de la calidad de la comunicación a través de ellas, igual que de otros asuntos como seguridad etc., estamos frente a una realidad donde el número de esas redes plantea una problemática nueva: 'pero, ¿cómo podemos encontrarnos?' --y '¿es lógico y/o útil crear perfiles por todas partes y -tratar de- llenarlos hasta la asfixia con 'información' y más 'información', que en muchos casos incluso es la misma?

(las preguntas parecen contradictorias; puede ser que lo sean; o no; ésta es una realidad complicada...)

unos días antes de empezar yo a escribir aquí, se dio a conocer que falleció Alberto Granado, el compañero de Ernesto Guevara, el Che, en el ya famoso viaje que hicieron juntos en moto por Suramérica, que muchos de nosotros leímos hace años y/o vimos en el cine, en la película del mismo nombre --
justamente porque se cierra un círculo, este blog se siente emocionado; independientemente de las personalidades, la política, las historias e 'historias' se acaba de cerrar un círculo y a eso me refiero aquí --

sin ir más lejos, creo que el rostro de Granado en las últimas escenas de la peli lo recordarán muchos por mucho tiempo...
