actions speak louder than words 2: social networking & real life

OK, let's try EN one more time --this blog has made an observation from a SocPsy perspective: it is certainly not an official research, it is not based on official statistics, it is just an observation, thorough but personal (and collective, in a sense) --

it is IMpossible to maintain a decent -intellectual- relationship through internet alone: it is unreliable; the medium per se is no substitute for a real life relationship, no matter how good intentions are, how educated or evolved the parties involved are --

our observation clearly shows that people who don't really know each other -well, that applies to any two people, actually; the meaning is 'people who have never met in real life, who have no real life contact whatsoever'- canNOT have a mutually rewarding exchange through emails, messages, posts etc.: overtime a substantial deficit will prevail, it's inevitable; the result will be one casualty, or two, depending on each individual's sensitivity; and then, that little history will most probably repeat itself: again, most probably for both participants...
